Storyboard 1: When it came to the original plan for the promo, the main character was going to be shown repetitively drawing on a piece of paper and erasing it over and over out of frustration, to the point where they begin to throw paper away constantly. The secondary character then walks in, gifting the artist 12 to the main character to end their frustration. The main character then begins to draw digitally on the artist 12 pro, which then transitions into the animated segment of the promo (to demonstrate what can be created with the artist 12 pro graphics tablet). After the animated segment ends, it returns to the real life footage. The final scene in the promo will be the main character struggling to draw again for a comedic effect (and a reference to the beginning. 2 story boards were created to visualise all the ideas we had for the promo; the first has has been explained, only showing the graphics tablet from the perspective of one target audience. The second demonstrates how t...

Legal and Ethical Issues Copyright: As a result of using materials gained from several content creators, I must consider copyright as one of the main legal issues while creating the promo. Any content included in the promo that has been created by someone else may be protected by the copyright law. Due to this law, there are several ways of gaining permission to use copyrighted content: these ways include contacting the creator and asking for permission, paying to use the content, and using copyright free content. To resolve the issue around this constraint, I used copyright free material - such as the music featured in the promo. Intellectual property: Similarly to copyright, intellectual property is a legal constraint regarding content that is protected by the law (copyright is an example of intellectual property). Examples on intellectual property are: content that you have created, content that you have bought the rights to own, trademarks and logos. Misrepresentation: When creatin...

Synopsis When considering the audio choices going to be used in the audio visual promo, I considered the legal and ethical regulations; such as copyright and intellectual property. As a result of these constraints, I decided to use a non copyright song for the first and main scene: "sans." by Toby Fox. Throughout the promo, I have decided to use more than one Toby Fox song, as they are free to use. Furthermore, the song originates from an indie game called Undertale - this game, and indie games in general, are featured within the audience's interests. This audio choice was made based on legal / ethical issues as well as the target audience's criteria. According to Materia Music Publishing's website, all music from the games Undertale and Deltarune are allowed to be used in videos as long is it not used for commercial use. Because of this, if we wanted to publicly broadcast this promo, I would have to consider using another song(s) that do not go against any legal ...

Storyboard 1:  - There were a lot of heavy changes made in the final promo, such as the second protagonist. - There are no animated characters in the animated part of the promo due to time constraints. Storyboard 2: Risk assessment:   - Potential risks while we were filming. Recce:

Filming Setup When filming for our promo, we used equipment owned by the school to record and set up everything ready in preparation for filming. This included 2 canon cameras, a gun mic and a tripod. We decided to use 2 cameras instead of 1 to get shots from different angles (to then decide which ones we prefer when editing). We also decided to connect a gun mic to the camera in order to get high quality audio fo when the actors speak. In order to protect the cameras, we used bags to carry the mic and cameras in, including the SD cards to ensure that they would not get lost. We also made sure to reset and clear the SD cards at school for more storage (and to make it easier to access the clips once imported into an editing program. In general, we used bags and cases to make transporting them from school to where we planned to film easier and to prevent them from breaking or getting lost. Once we were ready to film in the environment we planned to record in, we set up the tripod to...

Post production edit: While creating my post production edit, I have considered the camera angles, music, lighting and sounds going to be used. The final edit used here was created by Liam Atherton, as it was completed and included the animation. This was created in Adobe Premiere Pro. I made a lot of progress on my own final edit, but due to syncing issues, I was unable to finish my edit in time. As well as this, I was also encountering several issues on after effects, such as rendering issues (random green frames) and also low quality frames.  In terms of my own edit, I included a variety of transitions and effects to make the ad look more professional - I have included several effects, transitions, cuts and shots to make the entire ad flow and stay consistent throughout. These effects include zooms (in and out) and slide transitions, along with slow zooms between scenes to show movement throughout (I included this style of movement in every clip so that the ad does not look stif...

Survey Feedback In my final edit, I have included several effects, transitions, cuts and shots to make the entire ad flow and stay consistent throughout. These effects include zooms (in and out) and slide transitions, along with slow zooms between scenes to show movement throughout (I included this style of panning in every clip so that the ad does not look stiff). In terms of the audio choice, I used a copyright free song made by Toby Fox - I used this song due to copyright and advertising regulations. I used audio effects in clips and between transitions; I included a sound effect of paper being scrunched up, as that clip did not include any audio. I also used zoom sound effects between the transitions from animation to real life to make the transition seem extreme. Feedback and Responses Based on the 12 survey responses, I made adjustments to the ad to improve its appeal to the target audience. I created the questions based on wanting to know the audience's general opinion on th...
