Storyboard 1:

When it came to the original plan for the promo, the main character was going to be shown repetitively drawing on a piece of paper and erasing it over and over out of frustration, to the point where they begin to throw paper away constantly. The secondary character then walks in, gifting the artist 12 to the main character to end their frustration. The main character then begins to draw digitally on the artist 12 pro, which then transitions into the animated segment of the promo (to demonstrate what can be created with the artist 12 pro graphics tablet). After the animated segment ends, it returns to the real life footage. The final scene in the promo will be the main character struggling to draw again for a comedic effect (and a reference to the beginning.

2 story boards were created to visualise all the ideas we had for the promo; the first has has been explained, only showing the graphics tablet from the perspective of one target audience. The second demonstrates how the artist 12 tablet can be used by other people in different circumstances.

Storyboard 2:

The plan for the promo stays relatively similar to the first storyboard, but from the perspective of 2 people instead of 1 (to show how broad the target audience is, and how the tablet can be used both professionally and for fun depending on the consumer). This time, the promo starts by showing the 2 main characters struggling to draw (the scenes frequently switch between each other so that the audience can follow both at the same time). One of the characters is shown working in a professional environment. The other is shown to be drawing in a teenage bedroom like environment. Both of them get gifted the artist 12 by 2 secondary characters to end their frustration. They both begin showcasing the artist 12; One will be shown drawing unprofessionally - doing commissions or animating for fun. The other will be shown working on the tablet professionally, using professional programs and tools.

The scene then transitions into the animated segment of the promo where the 2 characters meet in a confused state as to where they are. They both conclude that the artist 12 was helpful and a good decision for both of their issues, and the animation continues to showcase what the tablet is capable of. The animation then returns to the real life footage, and similarly to the beginning, the characters are shown struggling again for comedic effect and to reference the struggles that artists face daily.

Final product:

Despite having to create 2 storyboards to conclude our ideas, our final product went slightly against the first storyboard: We decided to use the first storyboard as a base for out final product, however, several changes were made. The animation segment does not last as long as we hoped for, due to the time constraint. Originally, we had planned to include animated character sprites to showcase the tablet. As well as this, we went against the idea of the final scene that occurs after the animation - although it indicates relation to struggles that artists face, it also shows weakness in what the tablet can do (if the consumer will be frustrated drawing on paper, then there would be no reason to invest in the artist 12 if they will stay frustrated).
